According to Statista, during 2018 YouTube "beauty-related content generated more than 169 billion views on the video platform". Today, that content broadly consists of channels talking about hair, skincare and makeup. Hair-related content focuses on tutorials for routines, hairstyles, plus product recommendations and/or hauls (trials and reviews of several products at the same time). Commentary, “top list”, and Q&A are also popular video formats. Considering the abundance of information on YouTube, I wanted to highlight some YouTubers that, as a hairstylist, I think give the best advice on hair care.
