HairLooks - Smart Cities
HairLooks - Smart Cities
WHAT WE DO ◆ WHY HAIR MATTERS ◆ SMART CITIES
Smart cities are the new wave of the future. Today they focus on improving infrastructure, such as managing energy, traffic, and pollution, to name a few examples. However, with the advent of 5G, communication in densely populated areas can become something much more advanced. Both small and large businesses will thrive in this new environment if they have planned how to tap into that network effectively. It will require teaching machines how to evaluate business opportunities accordingly, and based on individual preference.
At HairLooks, our goal is to train computers to recognize stylists/barbers skilled in specific hair types, cuts, colors and styles based on pictures of their work. We can then suggest them to people nearby who match those hair profiles. When done correctly, this would allow hair professionals to work in different cities at their leisure, with a constant book of new clients. It would also make it much easier to return to work after a catastrophic event, such as COVID-19.
The United States only holds 12 of the 50 "smart cities" in production around the world (Source: How Buildings and Cars Are Defining the Smart Cities Landscape, April 2020). These include:
