Hair types are a way to categorize your hair to understand it and make better decisions around what it needs. Often hair will fit into multiple categories, and can shift after changing your hair color or cut. Knowing your hair type will assist you in deciding on hair products, styles and finding a hairstylist or barber that will work for you.
Hair Density
Definition: the number of hair strand roots per square inch on your scalp
Categorize your hair as one of three density types: (1) scattered, (2) consistent or (3) packed. Density can impact decisions like how much product to add to your hair and factors like how long it takes to blowdry or style it.
